The Vestibule will hold evening hours and a mini-lecture for the exhibition Too Much To Carry: Mana Mehrabian, an Iranian artist living in Eastern Washington and Seattle-based artist Mary Coss investigate personal and ancestral migrations through sculpture and installation art. At 7:30 pm, curator Kascha Semonovitch will give a mini lecture on memory and phenomenology. The event takes place in tandem with a reception and open-studio at neighboring Das Schaufenster.
Das Schaufenster Gallery will host an artist talk by Seattle-based artist and Senior Public Art Program Manager for the Port of Seattle, Tommy Gregory. Tommy will talk about the personal curiosities and feelings behind his work. Artist and co-owner of the gallery, Matthew Szosz will introduce the space and open the studio that houses the gallery to the public.
Although we are neighbors, we rarely get to hold events at the same time so we are excited to bring people to our niche off the beaten path of Ballard.
